it is great to know that we are (finally?) using enough solar power to matter! On the other hand, I believe in more adaptive, distributed systems in the first place, which would not be as dependent on large scale power sources. An eclipse should be no more of an incident than a "cloudy hour" if not for the long range dependencies.
